How automatic exports work in Lexeri

Translation tools

RWS Trados, memoQ server, Smartling

We select the right format for you for exports to translation tools or translation service providers. You only have to select the language and export interval. The termbase in the external system is automatically overwritten with the one in Lexeri.

Nextcloud shares

Network shares

You can select the preferred file format in addition to the export language when exporting to online shares such as Nextcloud. An existing file with the same name in the shared folder is replaced.

Exporting your termbases

Terminology to go

You can export your Lexeri termbase at any time. To do so, we support the common exchange formats for terminology, such as TBX, CSV or Excel. Even the images in your database can be exported as a batch.

Export formats

TBX

TBX is the standard exchange format for terminologies and is supported by all common terminology tools. It is based on XML and can also be opened and edited with a text editor.

Microsoft Excel

We recommend using the XLSX file format if you want to view your term database in Excel or import it into a tool that does not support TBX.

memoQ CSV

Lexeri can export a CSV format that is especially structured for memoQ. It exports all important attributes from Lexeri and shows them in the Notes field in the memoQ term view. A link to the Lexeri termbase is also shown for each term. Your translators are then able to switch quickly to Lexeri and access the term entry with all its information.

RWS Trados TBX

This TBX format is especially useful if you want to import your Lexeri termbase into RWS Trados or convert it using the Glossary Converter tool for MultiTerm.

DeepL

Terminology is particularly important for machine translations. That’s why we offer special export formats for DeepL. In DeepL, glossaries can be imported either via the website or the DeepL API. There is an export format for both methods.

ZIP folder with all images

You can also export the images uploaded to Lexeri in the term entries. With this file format, the images are packed in a ZIP folder and are ready for you to download.
